Crocheted baby owl hat

Of course I had to make a boy version of the owl hat I made last week so tadaaaaa, here it is.  If you are interested in purchasing one please contact me as I'm not putting these in my BitsOfFiber shop as of right now.  They will be going with me to the Farmers Market I attend on Sundays from 10 till 3 starting on the 28th of April in The Plains, Virginia.  Here is the facebook page  Archwood Green Barns Farmers Market link

How about a hoot with a tude!

I love owls and it seems so does everybody else.   I couldn't help but making a baby hat based on a sleepy little owl.  I've seen lots of patterns for making them but like always I got to do my own thing so off I went digging through my stash of yarn and making up the little hat.  I had to start over a few times to figure out how to get the right shapes.  I tried crocheting the beak but didn't like the looks of it so I used a piece of felt instead.   I'm working on a blue version which I will show off when it's finished.   As I have a huge stash of yarn I have a feeling I will be making lots of these for the coming Farmers Market Season which starts the last Sunday of April.  I'm getting excited about getting back in the swing of things doing the market thing on Sundays.  So for those of you that live in or near Fauquier County make sure you mark your calendar to come visit us on any Sunday from 10-3 starting this last Sunday of April all the way through October.  I will give you more info in my next post as I need to get to bed but I still wanted to share these pictures of my latest creation.  I love a little sleepy hoot with a tude (attitude), don't you?
