I'm back!

I really can't believe it's been 2 years since I last posted here so I guess it's about time I'm getting back in the swing of things!

For those of you that have stuck with me even with me not showing up for 2 years ... thank you for sticking with me, it's very much appreciated.   

See I moved and then moved again, selling and buying in the midst of Covid.  I had to downsize and I think I'm going to be here for awhile but then again, I've said that before and ended up moving.   They say that Belgians are born with a brick in their stomach ... meaning ... they stay put, well most of them stay put in Belgium obviously.   Pretty sure somebody forgot to put that brick in my stomach since I've been on the move for the past 40 years!  

Anyways, I've been busy besides packing and unpacking making new stuff.   Still making cat toys for the MauveMoose Etsy shop but also for my Bits Of Fiber Etsy shop.   Here are a few pictures of the latest items I've made and are listed in the Bits Of Fiber shop.

Lambswool, Angora Rabbit wool Felted Baby Shoes

I had purchased a sweater knitted with lambswool and Angora rabbit wool which I fulled in the washing machine. I used that fabric for the main body of the baby shoes and then needle felted the polka dots with a red merino sheep's fleece. The center is embroidered with French knots in a purple cotton thread. The red flowers are needle felted with the Merino sheep's fleece in red and purple colors and in the middle I embroidered some more French knots. These are oh so soft and cuddly perfect for a babies little feet. Will be in my Etsy shop later today.

Christmas hat for baby!

It's never too early to start shopping for the Holidays you know! This cute little hat will fit a newborn to a 3/6 month old ... depending on how big the baby's head is. It can easily be rolled up to make it fit a really small baby and unrolled as baby grows into it. I added a jingle bell at the end of the hat but crocheted around it so the sound is muffled to avoid the annoying constant jingle! Just listed in my BitsofFiber shop on Artfire.

Christmas market Sunday Dec 13th

Well, as far as I know the Christmas market will be happening this Sunday, December 13th. If this changes I will put it here on my blog to let you know.

Update for tomorrow's Christmas Market in The Plains

Per Becky, our market manager, who went to take a look at the barns this afternoon and all looks good for having the market tomorrow. They cleared the roads and our parking lots, we'll have big heaters running in the barn so come and visit us they'll be lots of wonderful Christmas gifts to pick from. I'm bringing new nuno felted scarfs, really cute ornaments and some other unique things to choose from. Hope to see you at the barns tomorrow.

Cute as a button ... well lady bug that is ...

My latest pair of soft fleece baby shoes made with the softest polar fleece. I needle felted the dots with 100% pure black alpaca fleece. I found the perfect ribbon at Joanne's covered with you got it ... lady bugs.
