Needle felted wool baby booties

Yeahhhhh, I was able to hand sew a few things today!  So happy my hand is starting to get better after surgery and having the cast removed.   I'm even typing a heck of a lot faster compared to yesterday so yesssssss, I'm a happy camper.

I had made these baby shoes before my surgery but needed to sew around the top and put a cord in it so that's what I did today.   I just listed them in my Etsy shop so if you are interested in purchasing a unique, sweet and oh so soft pair of needle felted baby shoes for that newborn this is the time to do it since I don't get to make these all the time.

Baby hedgehog in a basket

I love making these little hedgehogs.  They are so much fun.   Wasn't sure on what to do with this one ... turning it into just a pincushion or not?  I then remembered I had purchased some small baskets a while back that he possibly could fit in and voila ... he did.  Or she did ... I guess you can take your pick, he or she ... doesn't matter it's still a cutie.  Now just putting him in only the basket just didn't look right, he needed something else so I crocheted a lining for the basket which can be easily removed and used as a little pouch to put him in and you could close it off with pulling on the ribbon.  You could also replace the ribbon with another colored ribbon if you want to use this in a nursery and match the decor.  It would be cute as a decoration and then later when baby gets older he or she can play with it.  It's certainly a OOAK item either for a child, a child's room or somebody who sews like a seamstress, a quilter or anybody who enjoys a little critter companion!   He/she is up in my BitsOfFiber shop so click on this link to get more info on him/her.

Pretend play felt strawberries in a wood bucket

My kid has been busy making more items for her shop.  We decided to put this set of felt strawberries in a cute little wood bucket in my BitsOfFiber shop since they are so cute for pretend play.  She is making more of these which she will be selling in her MauveMoose shop as cat toys.  The cat toy ones will be filled with catnip versus the pretend play are only filled with fiberfill.  These would be really cute for a kitchen display or a playhouse, doll house etc.  I just love these!  I'm gonna have to ask her to make some to put in my kitchen.

Here is the link to purchase them in the BitsOfFiber shop:  https://www.etsy.com/listing/103888761/felt-pretend-play-strawberries-in-a-wood?ref=pr_shop
