Catching up

Have a couple more treasuries we made these past couple of days and didn't get the chance to list them here so I'm trying to catch up.  

I can't believe I still haven't gotten over this flu/cold bug that's going around.  The three of us have been fighting it for more then a month now.  I'm sick of being sick!!!  Please make this bug go away!!  On the other hand, my shoulder is doing great.  Went to PT again today and have almost all of my range of motion back, yeahhhh!  Now for those of you who are going to have this type of surgery done in the future ... make sure you do go to PT, it makes a huge difference.  I've talked to many people now who had this type of surgery done and they ended up not going to PT for the amount of time that was suggested to them by the surgeon.  Just saying ... if you want to get that range of motion back make sure you go to your PT and do the exercises at home!!

Alright, enough said here are the treasuries I wanted to share with you.

Frustration running on high and treasuries

It's been a week since my surgery.  Doing pretty good considering.  I slept in my bed last night, woke up every couple of hours but I'm getting used to that by now.  Got to move that arm to prevent it from freezing up so I make myself get up to move around, getting that sling off and do my exercises.   Then back to bed, staring at my arm sticking up in the air trying to get comfy with that stupid belt which has metal in it to keep my arm in place.  Can't really feel the metal since they designed it with padding in all the right places but it still is a royal pain in the derriere when you have to sleep with it on.

Got up at 5:30 am which is my normal hour when I go to work and was pretty proud of myself I slept in our bed, no more couch or sofa for me for now.  And then it hit me, highly frustrated with it all.   There are a million things to get done in and around the house, with my on-line shop and business and I have all the time in the world to do it now ... except I can't ... not with my broken wing!  Good thing my hubby understands were I'm coming from, he has been there himself and has been waiting for me to hit this point.  So we had a good chat, a box of Kleenex and a half-way hug (because I can not even hug properly with that damn contraption on!) later he left for work.  So here I am left with all this freedom and not much I can do ... my house is my prison for now.

It's a couple hours later by now ... I'm done feeling sorry for myself.  I did manage to make a couple of treasuries on Etsy which I will share.  I have some more photos to adjust so I can list the items in Sofie's shop.   My broken wing is mending which is a good thing, I just have to accept its going to take time.

Treasuries, confusing keyboard and heading back

First I want to say thank you to those of you who featured any of my shop items in all those lovely treasuries these last couple of weeks. I usually feature those treasuries on this blog but since I've been out of the country for almost two months taking care of my mother I haven't been able to do so. I couldn't get it to work properly on my I pad. Then I tried using my moms laptop! Oh boy, it's a dinosaur from 2000 AND it has the AZERTY keyboard. Which in itself isn't that bad except because it's a 12 yr old computer the keys have been used A LOT so most of the description on top of the keys are worn off which made it impossible for me to work right. But I'm heading home this weekend so once I'm back in the swing of things I will be making treasuries again and feature the once my items are in as well. I made a bunch of new things during my stay here in Belgium but I will need to take photos first to get them listed in my shop. Now some good news - mom gained 3 kilos this past week! Yeahhhhhh, I'm so happy about that. She lost so much weight since dad got ill with lung cancer, the passed away last summer and then she got diagnosed having breast cancer which only added to her loosing weight. But now that she decided not to go for chemo and radiation she isnt all stressed out anymore, has been able to focus on eating more and will hopefully gain another 6 kilos soon which would bring her back to her normal weight. Of course having me her has helped her with eating and trying different foods and dishes so I hope that when I leave she will continue with that. Alright folks, this is my last day in Belgium. Got to pack my suitcase. I'm sad having to leave my family again but happy to go home to be with my kid, my husband and the animals ... And my own computer as well! Oh my, the list keeps growing!

I'm talking about my treasury lists, they have grown so much I can hardly keep up listing them all out for you .... so I will have to take a short cut for these by not spelling out each item of mine that has been treasured. I do want to thank the Curators of all these wonderful treasuries for picking items from my shop. To make sure they get a share of the attention please click on the name of the shop where it states "Picked by ....." that's the shop of the person who created the treasury and deserves to be looked at as well.

Who wants to go out in this heat and melt!!!??? Not me!!!! So, get comfy in your (hopefully) cool (meaning air temp and of course the other kind of cool is ok as well! ha) place and check out all these items I listed in more treasuries. Here they are:

This first one I named "Chique Munchkins" just because all the pretty items I picked really reminded me of my mom. She loves to use the word "chique" and what she means by that in Flemish is a bit above the levels gorgeous/beautiful.



Next up is "Dreams and wishes". When I made this treasury I was sitting here in front of my computer wishing for certain things to happen in the near future and voila ... a new treasury was born!



Last one for today is "Green with ivy" which is kinda funny because I really didn't mean to use that title to begin with. A lot of times I just make the treasury first and then name it once it's all put together. At first I was going to name it "Green with envy" but then I noticed the ivy picture and changed it.



Well I'm a bit sad ... I got a message earlier today letting me know that the mama cat who had her litter of 4 kittens in my mom's garage, has moved them out of the house. I haven't talked to my mom yet this message came from my brother so I will have to give mom a call first thing in the morning since it's in the middle of the night now in Belgium I don't want to wake her up! I know mama cats, especially first time mothers will move their litter around and she isn't a house cat to begin with I'm surprised she hasn't tried moving them earlier. I just hope the kittens are all safe and she will bring them back to stay with my mom who will be more then happy to have them back. Silly cat!!!
