2013 ... the year of the snake

Ahhhh, we found another theme for the New Year treasury challenge on Etsy!  I'm not a big fan of snakes but some of them are rather pretty.  Funny thing is that while we lived in Alice Springs, Australia we saw 1 itty bitty snake out in the Outback and it was a dead one! We did go out camping and digging for semi precious gems many many times and were always careful where we stepped and dug for gems.  The biggest one we saw was at the Reptile Center in town!  Then we moved back to Virginia and I saw 4 snakes in the first 2 months, how crazy is that.  Anyway, I thought this was a good theme for a treasury so here it is.

Let's make it a good one!

I really really hope 2013 will be a better year ... not just for me but for everybody!  Here is a treasury to head in the right direction.

Off we go ... a new year to look forward too!

I've been working on a couple of projects and need to put the finishing touches on them. As soon as they are ready and weather permitting I can take pictures and put them up for sale and on my blog for you to check out!

I made this treasury yesterday but didn't get the chance to put it up yet so here it is now ...

Happy New Year! 2012 ... A new beginning

I'm so ready to get this 2011 year behind me ... just too many sad and frustrating times I've had. I'm definitely ready for a new beginning, a fresh start with lots of exciting and fun times to look forward too. I lost my best friend to breast cancer and my dad to lung cancer this year, I miss them dearly and having to let go of two people that close to you isn't an easy task. But, every day is a new beginning, every day brings me something to look forward too. If it wasn't for the rest of my family, friends and my arts and crafts this would have been much harder to deal with. I'm thankful for being who I am and especially thankful for the gift I have to be able to create and share it with all of you. Wishing you a wonderful 2012 ... a new beginning, a new promise of exciting things to come. Enjoy!
