Just one more snow!

I love the snow, I know I know there are many of you who don't and since we don't get like 10 feet of snow here in Virginia I like the amounts we get.  Enough to make it look pretty.  It always makes me smile.  Not so much when I'm driving to work in it, or I can't make it up the hill by our house in the truck, I still like it.  So in honor of possibly our last snow for this winter I made a treasury related to the white fluffy stuff falling from the sky!  Enjoy!

Let it snow ...

We haven't had a lot of snow this winter, just really really cold weather ... but not a lot of snow.  I love the snow.  I love how quiet everything seems to be when the outdoors is covered in a white blanket.  I know there is still hope for more snow, winter isn't over yet.  So in the meantime I just make myself pretend snow with treasuries.

Enjoy!

Winter Pallet

I love snow so therefore I love winter.  Just seems like we might not get a lot of snow this year.  So I figured I might as well enjoy the winter whites by putting this treasury together.  I'm also working on a felted heart brooch and an Amigurumi pink poodle!  Sofie is working on more mice for her shop so stay tuned for more things to show up in our shops.  Thanks for visiting!

Neutral and it's snowing!!!

Made a treasury with 100% team members from the Etsy Serenity team.   And YES!  It's snowing ... so we're still having a white Christmas ... a day late but I'm loving it!!!  I love the snow.

Winter's coming

... and I can't wait for the first snow to fall. I love the snow. Snowflakes make me smile. I can't wait to start smiling a lot!!!

So, thinking about that lovely fluffy snow I made a treasury with snow on my mind. Enjoy!

More projects ....

With the melting of all this snow we've had I have the urge to complete a million projects I've had sitting around for days, weeks ... and a couple of them even months! Maybe it's the coming of spring that got me feeling that way, out with the old ... in with the new. I haven't been felting much this past winter just because I have everything set up for it in my basement .... except it's not that warm down there and I have no running water down there yet. That's hopefully going to be one of my dear husbands projects for this coming summer so I will be spending more time down there to work on some of my wet-felting projects. I've been wanting to test out some other ideas I've had wiggling around in my head lately but I definitely need a sink and water for that. I had planned on getting to learn how to spin this winter .... well do I need to say more .... that didn't happen ... yet! Been too busy doing other things so that's still on my "wanting to learn" list. Have a happy day everybody.
I finished this little square top baby beret the other day, it's in my PurplePlatypus store on Etsy if you want to see more pictures of it.

Digging out and saving lives ...

I just can't believe all this snow we've been getting here in Virginia. Like my kid said, I think this makes up for the 4 years we didn't get any while living in Australia and I must agree we both love the snow. My dear husband can do without it, he rather live in shorts and T-shirts 365 days a year. I'm so proud of him, he worked his tush off during that first real big one (snow storm that is) at the Warrenton Fire Department, saving people's lives is what he does best. Just like I need to get my creative talents out and about making things he puts on his gear and jumps into a fire truck or ambulance to save lives and houses. I know I couldn't do what he does, he's my hero who I love to share with the world around me ... you never know when you might need him

Update for Christmas Market this Sunday, Dec. 6th

The snow has been falling in The Plains since 7:15 a.m. this morning! Preparations are being made to keep the barn open, and the show on schedule for tomorrow. However, with Mother Nature, you never know what to expect! At 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, the market manager will head to the barns and verify if the lots and roads are clear and passable. If she find at that time that we need to cancel plans, I will post an update later that morning to let you all know if the market will be open for this Sunday December 6th.
