Tutorials on my Youtube Channel

I always liked to teach and/or train people.  Funny thing is that I never wanted to be an actual teacher.  For years I worked admin jobs and caught myself always thinking about what artsy, craftsy project I would want to work on next after work.  While working the admin jobs I typed up training manuals (if there weren't any) as to how to do those jobs.   I also ended up training new people when they came into the departments I worked in and enjoyed doing it.  So, I guess starting a Youtube channel just made sense to me.  I watched many video's and found I didn't like many videos where the creator talks  ... sometimes they talked too fast, other times too slow, other times I just didn't like the way their voice sounded ... so I found myself not wanting to watch the video till the end.   I then started looking at the "no face" videos to see what that's all about ... and nope ... the hand movements which are visible in many of those drove me nuts for some reason.   I wanted to hear what my own voice sounds like on a video so I did a couple of test videos but realized that with this huge construction project (300 new homes) right behind my own place creates so much noise I decided against it.   I know I can make the video and do a talk over later in the day when the construction workers have gone home but I haven't taken the time on how to go about doing that.  Years ago when I worked in the HR department for Allstate I made flip charts for the training sessions and enjoyed doing those so I figured I could do photo video's which is basically making a training manual with pictures.   Maybe down the road I might end up doing voice videos but for now I'm doing the photo videos with written instructions.   Geezzz that was a long winded explanation.  I'm on an upcycled blue jeans kind of thing right now so lots of items made out of denim but as time moves on I'll be adding all kinds of other fun things.

If you are not into making your own things, all of the stuff I make that you see in the videos will be for sale in either my Etsy Bits of Fiber shop or the MauveMoose Etsy shop.

Here pictures of the things I put on my Youtube channel.

Cute for hanging in a nursery or hang it on the mirror in your car or use as a Christmas ornament.

This one is for sale in the MauveMoose Etsy shop since it's a cat toy stuffed with catnip.

This little one is completely made out of jeans material, eyes included.

Little stuffed owl.  Cute gift for owl lover or use as Christmas ornament.

Bag can be used as a purse or gift bag since it has the big area but you can also use the pocket in the front.   The strap is clipped on and can be removed.   Put a bow on it instead.   Use a shorter strap and turn it into a handbag.   Strap is long enough for an across the body style bag.

Fun hair scrunchies for different holidays.   The bow part can be removed easily.

A one of a kind pair of earrings.   Don't wait to purchase since I only made this one pair.

My next video will be the Holiday gift tags, which can be re-used since the little card in the back can be replaced.  They are made of blue jeans and holiday fabrics.  They will be up for sale in my Bitsoffiber Etsy shop.   If you are interested in any of the items I've made and are no longer available just send me a message and I'll see what I can do.

These measure 4 inches by 7 inches so they are large tags.

This is the front

This is the back.
The card in the pocket can be replaced with another card or you can use it as a money card holder as well.

I'm working on some other things for the upcoming holidays, more cat toys and another video after the holiday gift tag video is done.
