Fairy ballet slippers for a newborn

 I collect wool sweaters and/or scarves to wet felt in the washing machine to make baby booties.   Some of them are made of wool felt that I purchase by the yard.  It seems to get harder every time I go out to thrift shops to find sweaters, scarves, jackets, etc. made out of 100% wool.  Sometimes I will find them with just a bit of wool if the items was made with a mixed yarn.  So every time I do find something I get all excited and dream of what kind of booties I will make.   When I purchased this orange sweater I didn't have a good idea in my head as to how I was going to use it.   And to my own surprise they ended up looking like this, definitely not traditional pink ballet slippers but I think a newborn fairy will be happy to wear them!  I listed them in my Etsy shop earlier today.  Almost all of my items are a one-of-a-kind so if you like something, don't wait to get it as it might be gone by then!   Thanks for visiting my blog and my shop if you hopped over to Etsy.
